Living on campus is an integral part of your educational experience at Cornish College of the Arts, where you build and live in a community with other artists. All undergraduate students who fall into any of the following categories are required to live on campus and purchase a meal plan for the first two years of attendance:
First-year and second-year students (0-59 credits earned) under the age of 21
Students who begin their studies at Cornish College of the Arts within 2 years of high school graduation (or equivalent) and are under the age of 21
Residential housing exemption considerations are limited. Please respond to the following questions to determine if you qualify for an exemption to this requirement.
Thank you for your responses. You qualify for a housing exemption and your exemption has been recorded; you do not need to take any further action regarding the housing requirement.
If you qualify for an exemption, but would still like to apply for housing, click "Yes" in the question below to proceed to the housing application and to submit the $300 housing deposit. If you currently live in the Cornish Commons, you do not need to submit another housing deposit.
Thank you for your responses. Your responses indicate that you do not qualify for an exemption to the housing requirement. Please complete the housing application below and submit the $300 housing deposit. If you currently live in the Cornish Commons, you do not need to submit another housing deposit.
If you do not qualify for an exemption, but would like the opportunity to demonstrate, through the petition process, that the live-on requirement presents an insurmountable hardship to studying at Cornish College of the Arts, please click here to submit your petition request. After you submit your request, the Dean of Student Affairs will email you to schedule an appointment to discuss your request in more detail.
Please select your top three preferences for the type of room you would like to be placed in. While we cannot guarantee every student will be placed in their preferred room type, we do make an effort to consider preferences during the room assignment process.
When you sign the housing contract, you are also agreeing to select a meal plan for dining at Nellie’s Cafe & Espresso Bar, located in the Main Campus Center (MCC) building on the second floor. Please select which meal plan you will likely choose. You will confirm this selection when you complete the housing and meal plan contract. Failure to select a meal plan will result in students being assigned the Residential Meal Plan.
